Brian Keefer, a star athlete, became paralyzed in a gymnastics accident in 2008.
As he completed his sophomore year at Lock Haven University, Brian was an all-around college athlete, volleyball player and coach, a record-holding track and field athlete, and president of his college's gymnastics club. Then on July 1, 2008, 12 days before his 21st birthday, Brian suffered a gymnastics injury, paralyzing him from his neck down. With the injury, Brian needed 24-hour care.
