  • Bummer. Okay fine. God willing, someone will see this video and pass it on to Joan Alexander, as well as Noel Neill. BTW, I got the cronology slightly off It went Alexander, Neill, Coates, Neill.

  • Agreed. Maybe if others write her, one of the letters will get to her, or show her there is really an interest. Her daughter is author Jane Hamilton

  • Dear Bob,

I do hope that Ms.Alexander's daughter

does write her mother's memiors about

her career? I don't want to sound as if I'm putting the

    kibosh on such a project?

But..Ms.Alexander is not going to be here forever

and this book should be written now.

  • Jane Hamilton

    c/o Doubleday Books

    Authors

    1745 Broadway

    New York, NY 10019

I would recommend typing the letter and the envelope

  • Dear Bob, Ms.Neil was actually the first live on camera

actress to play"Lois Lane". Ms.Neil played the character in the two

    "Supeman"movie serials produced and releasled

by Columbia Pix in 1948 and 1950.

  • I realized that I goofed a little on the Coates and Neill order. Too bad they don't like each other. I wonder if given the opportunity, they'd bury the hatchet for a group appearance of Deal or No Deal. I'd love to meet all three of them. I wrote a letter to Alexander's daughter suggesting that she write her mother's autobiography for children as an introduction to the history of old time radio. I don't know if she got it or not.

  • superman would use his x-ray vision to cheat and win a million dollars

  • You can see Joan Alexander on many an episode of the old game show The Name's the Same. I think she was cast on the show coz her persona was similar to Arlene Francis's, and she had a similar great "radio" voice. They likely were trying to match the success of What's My Line. My favorite was Phyllis Coates just because she was kind of bitchy. Lois Lane was supposed to be that way. She was that way in the comics. Noell Neill was too nice and "cute" sort of like My Little Margie.

  • It is so sad that Joan Alexander Stanton passed away on May 21st.

  • I think Margot Kidder, Teri Hatcher, Dana Delaney, and Erica Durrance each deserve some credit.

  • For mine, Noel Neill was the most appealing of the TV series actresses to play Lois Lane, alongside George Reeves. Noel just seemed to ooze more 'character', more 'warmth', and came over as a more natural, flexible character on-screen .. not to mention her good looks !! Prettier face than Phyllis Coates, just for starters. Phyllis always seemed to be a 'whinger' and too 'agressive' on-screen for mine. That's not to demean the other 2 actresses .. but for me, Noel will always be my fave Lois.

  • I dont see why this would have to be on Deal or No Deal ?

Kind of a weird idea to me.

Get in touch with WB and tell them the idea, offer to direct and manage the interview for free, and the may jump on it.

I dunno... but I dont see any rhyme or reason in it having to be done on DOND..

  • Dear Bob, I've written to Ms.Jane Hamilton at Doubleday Books Inc in NYC. She is not Ms.Joan Alexander's daughter and she

    doesn't know where Ms.Alexander is..I'm sorry.

  • I thought her daughter was known as Jane Stanton Hitchcock.

  • LOVE JOAN ALEXANDER
