@nonplayerzealot4 People forget that billy mac actually called Kobe's 81 point game. I liked Joel, he was good at the job, but to me he was a little too biased. I don't like listening to broadcaster's who are clearly partial to the team their calling games for. It's Imbalanced and it's slightly unprofessional. Not to try and compare ANYBODY to the late great Chick Hearn, but he was pretty much always fair and balanced in how he called the game.

I don't think you should complain too much about Stu. Better him than one of those wild, homerish nutjobs that the small market teams like Milwaukee and Cleveland all too often and infamously employ. The same can also be said about the Clippers color commentator... He always rubbed me the wrong way. That being said, I do like Lawler, though, and not just for the fact he's stuck with the Clippers this long and retaining a level of optimism and enthusiasm.

@nonplayerzealot4 By the way, any Laker fan should probably need not be reminded that it's hard to edit Mr. Stuart Lantz after Chick passed away. The man keeps yackin' an' YACKIN'. I gotta cut the d00d midstream most of the time to get under 15:30.

@DavoBirmingham2 Thanks, Davo B. I appreciate folks like you who are all praise & NO criticism for what games I put up, when I do them, and how I do them. Any editor of footage (as you apparently know, judging by your own great channel) knows that these take time and effort to cut, edit A/V, process, and upload. I appreciate any of you folks who appreciate my efforts. Eternal blessings to you all from NPZ.

@nonplayerzealot4 Do whatever works for you, NPZ. We appreciate it. And thanks for giving us ALL the highlights, not just the Kobe highlights and not just the Lakers highlights. You are the most cogent, level-headed, and balanced uploader on youtube. You are the Chick Hearn of game recap uploaders.
Kobe's MJ mannerisms are very clear in this game. The way he walks, the way he pumps his fist, the way he chews his gum, the way he swings his shoulders. Even the way his shorts are pulled up a little bit higher and tighter than the average man. It hits me in this game stronger than normal. I guarantee you he watched a circa '98 MJ game the night before this one.

@DavoBirmingham2 This is one of the final 2 times he copied Jordan's game winning shot mannerisms, too. Kobz is on one hell of a nasty 1+ yr streak of bricking GWs and OT-senders (he just did the latter 3 hrs ago vs Indiana as I type this). I'm a humongous Kobe jocker, but I'm at the point of believing that Fish is probably close to surpassing him in the clutch shot tally. That's NOT an exaggeration. :-(

Am I the only one who misses Joel? I miss him more than I miss Lamar and Farmar.

@DavoB I enjoyed Joel, but I'm gonna make a surprise admission. Billy Mac is doing a good job(!!1) His delivery and intonation on plays that require it is actually sharp. His voice isn't broadcast quality, tho. It's plain, neither deep, nor rich. However, he can spit syllables quickly, he doesn't freak out & butcher the call of a great play like Sundy, and he's a tad more excitable than Joel. He also quickly countered an unneeded correction from Stu recently, which is a bonus.
