Members of the Marine Wing Support Squadron 472, from Chicapee, Massachusetts, work on a construction project as part of the New Horizons 2011 exercise. The Marines are building a new classroom for the technical students at Lelydorp School, that will include air condition which is something new for the school. Soldiers of the 235th Military Police Company, South Dakota Army National Guard, arrived in Paramaribo, Suriname to begin training members of the Suriname army Security Force tactics as part of New Horizons 2011. New Horizons is a cooperative effort between the Surinamese government and the United States Southern Command that provides training opportunities to Suriname and U.S. military while helping to improve the quality of life for the people of Suriname.
