Thank you. This saved my playstation 2. I had already cleaned the discs and cleaned the laser lens, but it didn't fix the read errors. Then I found this video. I pulled out my multimeter, measured the resistance across the DVD potentiometer and found it way out of adjustment. I adjusted it and now all my discs work flawlessly.

i watched all your videos and all of them are very helpful but can you help me with my ps2 I found that ants went inside it and then i cleaned it up but some ants went inside the lens compartment and I tried to test my games. some of them works and some of them says disk error. after that I cleaned the lens with cotton buds and then blow it air in can, after that It can't read any games anymore, now i'm gonna try to calibrate the lens, but I sense that I ight make it worse. please help me

AND... (yeah, he's getting long winded again!) that vid took many takes to get it to that point. That wasn't done in one take! I suppose if I wanted to keep going I would have just fell asleep on camera. The final take was done around 4am. Started filming around 8pm the night before. Not an easy task to film these. BUT some ppl got good information from it because they chose to look beyond the lack of public speaking experience. Thanks to the tossers who made fun of it!

Just read through a BUNCH of these and I have to say that if you got something from my old college project video, I must have succeeded in it. But those who can only criticize probably couldn't speak in public if their lives depended on it! Tossers!
