  • Robert Ballard never found the Titanic on his own. It was a joint effort with Jean-Louis Michel.

  • yes thats true, bob ballard had a whole crew of people with him. and jean-louis michael was his partner on the expidition.

  • true, titanic only had 3 working funnels. i wanted to use a variety of pictures when i made this film. there is a lot of pictures about titanic that are not very acurrate. thanks for watching my video and commenting. hope you enjoyed it. titanic and its history is my passion.

  • mistake at 1:13, who ever drew this picture doesn't know the facts of Titanic, the 4th and last funnel has smoke coming out, this is impossible as the 4th funnel was a fake and not even connected to any boilers, but was there for insurence and for grandeur/splendor.

  • yes your right the 4th funnel was a dummy funnel.

  • thanks to everyone who commented on my video. as soon as my computer is up and running i will try to make more. i love the history and the period of the titanic tragedy. check out the commendary on the 10th anniversary dvd if james cammeron's titanic.

  • @priest008 ok the 3 funnel for the smoker and 1 funnel is for the steam cos the steam is less

  • @DeWina512 If it was a steam boiler than why was black smoke rising? Steam gives off a thin whiteish mist.

  • @priest008 trust me i got an A+ in media for the assessment cos there 3 smokers and a boiler

  • @DeWina512 A steam connection could have been attached but that cause a very little amount of steam (visible smoke) It had no connection to any boilers to let off smoke.

  • @priest008 no the 4th funnel was the steam boiler.

  • where's the picture of the guy that looks like jack?

  • You are probably right :) gretings!

  • Probably mixed emotions. Joy that he found it and the fame that it would bring, grief when thinking about those who died and seeing their personal belongings, and awe for seeing a ship that he so longed to see besides on film and photos. As a child I was a huge Titanic fan an amazed by it's mystery, though I now wish he never found it so it could be left alone, but with the technology keeps developing, it would've only been a matter of time before they did.

  • I can imagine how happy he was when they found the wreck :)

  • Because the ship was registered to the White Star Line. Ownership would therefore be handed down to someone else after White Star became defunct.
