an electric wife

I want to know about DC motors, their cost to buy, wher/how to buy, and horsepower ratings at certain voltages. I want to build a toyota pickup truck into an electric offroader.

This man is so sexy, I love his accent. Props for going electric.

Grats on the new house :)
Question bout the solar panels, don't they need 2 b 160 volts ?
-
How about using your clutch pedal to set some contacts across the motor so it slows it down when you go to shift gears.

hi Gav any new videos coming out soon?
Gewels8787 3 years ago
There will be a bonus video coming out soon, but first I'm going to offer the whole series (with the bonus video) on DVD for $15 airmailed anywhere.
Once I've sold a few I'll put the bonus video up here - right now the bonus video gives people a reason to buy the DVD for more than just better quality.
The DVD should be available for purchase next week sometime. God knows I need the money! I'm doing the DVD thing because I'm broke and have run out of things to sell!

hey gav, i think i might know why that coupler was moving on you. did u drill dimples into the motor shaft where the screws go in? i read this somewhere online apparently its essential to keep it in place. any ways look forward to seeing updates and congrats on the new home :)

That's exactly what happened. Apparently it's pretty common. I've put some dimples in the shaft to stop it happening again.
And thanks! The house is finally warm as we have a heat pump installed.

Is your grille open? Cover it with an aluminum sheet. It will keep batteries warmer, but it will also cut aerodynamic drag. Also, make a belly pan of aluminum sheet or plastic, or plywood, for aerodynamics. Just leave a small opening near the firewall for cooling the motor.

When I get a garage I'll do something along those lines. And I'll be using a classier car next time for sure.
The Tredia was a "if it works, great - if not, oh well" car for $180.
