  • I've been a classical guitarist for awhile but I've always wanted to play metal, but when I heard Digital Veil it really inspired me to focus on my classical playing. Since then I auditioned for a place at The Leeds College of Music and was accepted! :D Now I'm just focusing all my energy on being a true musician and I feel like I owe A. J. a big thank you.

  • hahahaha i love AJs bowlcut, its intense. love that guy, seriously one of the most educated guitarists around... and at that age as well. Look at all the dudes like Zakk Wylde and John Pettrucci who are in their mid-40s and being claimed as the greatest guitar players in the world, and AJ minette is like, half their age and being featured on the same list. i just find it amazing what this guy is capable of.

  • Met A.J. in baltimore during the Frak the Gods tour, he's probably one of the friendliest guys I've ever met. You can have a conversation about anything with the guy.

  • @HCchrisss18 Hey Chris, I enjoyed reading your comment. I'm merely just trying to say that the degree of creativity in metal music against pop music is in two completely different leagues. I get into jazz and fusion, and yes I have heard of return to forever. Like I said, I believe the TRUE musician would much rather listen to metal then pop radio. Check out Chick Corea and the Eliktric Band. Just might blow your mind.

  • You should feature this on the next THA album.

  • nice work, it would be good to get a little more interplay between the musicians (i.e. eye contact, cues etc)

  • @XbriceloganX Think of it this way: Pop music is created for the masses (I.E. 'Pop' = 'Popular') Meaning that Pop music is meant to appeal to the average music listener where as Metal is for the more refined, dignified music listener. Any educated musician will agree with me on this.

  • @XbriceloganX Wake up call dude, Metal musicians are the most educated, hence the difficulty, structure, and melodic qualities of metal music. Pop music has literally all been done before through metal or classical. Metal music has a direct relationship to classical. In fact the average metal listener finds Pop music trivial and ignorant. BTW I have an undergraduate degree in music and metal is the closest thing to a "Musical Masterpiece" today.

  • @carlosemiliano00 I seem to find that people that are truly educated can appreciate all forms of music because they listen to music for the sound not to appear cultured or because of how technical something is. That being said i doubt "educated" musicians would consider metal a big step forward from pop.

  • @XbriceloganX A lot of metal musicians are educated that's why they prefer metal over pop
