Hi
I am on a project with an arduino and MIDIshield to pilot MicroKorg Xl , I have just looked at your demo, but I did not find link on your subject about this project? To see how you proceeded, because any ideas are wholesome .I have another practically finished project, analogical sequencer 16 tracks to pilot one Korg MS20.
I reassure you, I do not want to copy what you made, only to have information, even, the inspiration.
Cordially

@LedgerLines Apparently the definition I knew for "hack" was wrong. I thought that you were talking about going directly into the MKXL internals and changing something when you said hack. Thanks for clearing that up for me. Plus, I am studying electronics in high school so I am young and naive in "electronics".

@Slah606 1. I'm an Electronics Engineer 2. I don't think you understand what the term "hack" means; it's any modification to software or hardware. And that is EXACTLY what this is doing. The MKXL does not possess this ability intrinsically or supported by 1st party (KORG), you must be young or naive when it comes to "electronics".

@LedgerLines In electronics you don't have to "hack" the MKXL to do that. The USB out from it sends midi to the board where the sequencer is. So it's the board doing all the work. You don't have to go into the MKXL at all.

so the breadboard is like a 16? bit rotating shift register containing one "on" bit?

good job

It's so sad that you have to hack it to make the MKXL seq. Why didn't KORG learn from the Alesis Micron and build one in (along with a drum seq.)!!! These could be unstoppable.
BLOWN AWAY AS ALWAYS GREAT WORK!
