I don't know who told you v8's didn't come with cloth interior, but I have an 88 LX 5.0 5 speed, and it's got cloth seats from factory..

notch's only came in LX trim while fastbacks came in GT and LX. both had 4cyl and 5.0 options.

@PRZJ91 No it didn't. I have an original 89 LX 5.0 that had drums in the rear for a while before I changed it over. Got sick of not being able to stop. Can stop MUCH better now!

@WooTinn Agreed... I have an 89 ORIGINAL 5.0 LX Coupe with a blue cloth interior. I know it came from the factory like that becase I am only the second owner and have had the car for 15 years.
