Silent Movie

A h2dance production. Choreographed and performed by Hanna Gillgren and Heidi Rustgaard. Designed by Heidi Rustgaard. Silent Movie takes a look at the glamorisation of violence in film and TV through the destructiveness of the femme fatale. The performers embody glamorous film characters from 40's film noir with a twist where past is juxtaposed with present and public with private. Supported by Laban, and the Swedish Embassy.
Performed at Alsager Arts Centre, Laban, Moderna Dansteatern, Stockholm, The Place, Yorkshire Dance Centre and Croyden Clocktower. Toured the UK on and Arts Council touring grant in 2005/2006.
