They sound the freakin same, I watching this video through a pair of Pioneer HDJ-1000's and the only real difference is in the second riff but I notice the tone knob on the JP is ever so slightly turned up more than on the TW for the second riff. It would be funny if they were both TW's and this was made as a joke to bring out all the JP version fanboys who would swear the "JP" sounded way better....

you need a camera with a better mic

Man, you're dreaming, of course there's a difference but if you take two taiwanes pedals, there will be a difference too.

Tips for people recording clips of effects pedals:
1) use a recording device that won't clip / distort - and set levels / gain / trim properly for a clean recording
2) don't play your guitar two feet away from the recording device, so we hear more pick / string click than actual effect
3) avoid recording clip in natural reverberant / echo-ey room

The older Japan model uses a TA7136AP chip and the newer Taiwan model uses a NJM2904L opamp. I think some musicians favor the older Japan models.
