You only damage the indoor hull if you are not carefull with it, try the lowest tilt setting, and you will be very slow, but not as prone to crashing.
-
And the cameras are not nearly that good but the drone. Is still the coolest thing I own
-
It can usually fly 45-50 meters away from you and it has a 15 minute battery and it's very durable I crashed it very hard onto

Got 1 myself a month ago & having a blast with it! - As far as the "learning curve" goes, it's EASIER than most RC planes & helicopters. (I've flown RC planes @ 20 years). The onboard autopilot uses a down-firing ultrasonic altimeter & can sometimes be "fooled" by passing over objects of different heights (causing wild altitude swings). It is otherwise VERY stable. Recommend newcomers fly in a space such as a basketball court before trying outside; consider 10 MPH max safe wind speed.

I did not experience a "steep learning curve". The controls are very intuitive and the thing can level itself if you let go of the controls.
Seriously guys. It's not cheap to make. less then a model airplane, which can go 2-3 times times this price
