other than the classic early macks, ford and mack is some of the ugliest trucks ever produced. whats the gvw on this truck???....not more than 35k?...wimpy. jump in the seat of a brand new pete, kenworth, international, freightliner, ect and ull change ur mind about the "old truck rules" bullshit. dont get me wrong, i appreciate the older riggs for memories, but driving a dinosaur everyday for now a day isnt worth it

yes and may i add that a paving company that i worked for in hockessin, delaware sold 75 percent of its fleet of 79 thru 89 L9000 Ford and R model Macks to buyers in south africa. these trucks rock forever but they need time and TLC. NEW RIGS SUCK.!!!!!!!!!!!!

do you know where these trucks are having a new life?.... AFRICA where they are running against 2000-2010 volvo,mercedes,renault,scania,daf,or Man. all europeen semi trucks with lot of easy breaking down computerised systems and they are i can say winning.
