President Shimon Peres told world leaders on Wednesday at an interfaith dialogue in New York that the Arab peace initiative must be seriously considered as a real opportunity for real progress in Middle East peace.

The proposal, initiated by Saudi Arabia in 2002 and ratified by Arab foreign ministers last year in Damascus, offers pan-Arab recognition of Israel in exchange for Israel's withdrawal from Arab lands captured in 1967. 11/13/08

  • Peace from Israel? Shame on you Peres !!! Shame on you!!!

  • filthy jews that were they good at it stealing, They have killed palestinians childeren baby s mothers sisters fathers and now they want peace

  • Let them stop bombing Sderot!

  • "אֵין שָׁלוֹם אָמַר יְהוָה לָרְשָׁעִים"

  • Judea/Samaria's not "Arab land"! Jordan (then Transjordan, only obtained it in illegal war of aggression to begin with & then lost it after attacking Israel in '67 though Israel told them to stay out, & since then did not want the land back anyway. "Captured in 1967" means Jerusalem,too-- again taken from Jordan who had illegally occupied it after war of aggression. Arabs did not approve pre-'67 armistice lines to begin with, delusional to think they'll stick to it now (they say they won't).
