AKAI mpc 5000 Burning LCD screen burn problem

This is the second time the LCD on my mpc5000 sampler has died. I requested akai to send me a replacement MPC since this is definitely a factory problem and a fire hazard and they refused. They said they would fix it, but come on, this is the second time this happens, the exact same thing.

So now I am raising hell, to see if they pay attention. Akai listen to me a send me a new mpc5000.

@drcompressor Yep man, I tried to tell Akai but they would not listen, now they have all this damage control social team setup trying to be all nice and fun when in reality they don't give a damn.

Well it's a long story, basically akai had my wrong return address and they would not freaking answer my emails and my RMA expired and I was never able to send it... ultimately this should not have happened.

the crazyest thing is: akai has long time users as me, and they don't give a shit.

they will try to improve costumers service because native isntruments is going super fine in this area.

but believe me: akai isnt the same company as the past. still funny but, expansive, without updates, plenty of freezin stuff and now, harware expansive parts problems (245,00 dollaz the screen hahahahahaha plus muthafuckintaxes!)

i just had that happen to me after having it only a month. does anyone know wher i can find a video that shows how to replace the screen

@optimystikill I think the mpc2500 is a much better purchase, in fact I am back with the mpc 2500 and jjOS and I love it. I had the mpc5000 for about a year when this happened for the first time, the machine was repaired for free (warranty) and then one year later it happened again, this time it cost me 400 to fix. I know of at lest 3 or 4 other people who have had the same problems.

I would stir away from it, I actually hate this machine for all the downtime and headaches it created for me.
