Why I Gave Comcast The Boot

I don't know if this is true everywhere, but here in the People's Republic of NJ, our local Comcast office has dubble-wall bullet-proof cages between you and the Comcast reps. I think that says a LOT right there.
I'm contemplating getting "off the grid" entirely at this point.

I just read that Comcast now owns 51% of NBCUniversal. I'm in Canada, so this doesn't directly afect me, but EEP!

@savedtech08 DirectTV gives lower service to zip codes that are in poor areas. IF you live in a wealthy neighborhood, you get better service, IF you live in a middle class or poor area, you get poorer service. You wouldnt know the difference unless you happen to come across a new DTV employee that tells you the truth. I used to live in a poor part of town, and now I live in a much better area. DRTV service depends on where you live. They over charge poor people.

dude quit your bitchin...we have 22 million customers...problems like yours are present in maybe 10-15 % of our total customer base...you live in an apartment its fuckers stealing cable that are causing the problem with you being accidentally disconnected..and your obviously not aware that the digital conversion only affects uhf users..oh and you should have cancelled your internet apt if your internet was working..dumbass!

Only 10-15% huh, well with that statement alone you have proven why Comcast sucks. 10-15% represents 2.2-3.3 million customers getting the shaft. Wow you guys sure do set a high standard of excellence.

Also the first time my service the tech told me that it was because another tech turned off my service and many others in the building, while trying to turn off just one person. The people who live next door to me had a similar problem right after a tech was working on the pole in front of our building. That's called bad service.

as far as cancelling my appointment when the first tech got the internet working. I would have but he showed up while the cable tech was still there and after he told him he fixed and showed him it was working. The internet tech proceeded to change the wiring and when he left the internet was no longer working. In case you can't figure this out that is also called bad service.
