On Saturday morning, July 25, 2009, RFETN and Daughter of RFETN took a trip up to the top of Black Mountain to the Cumberland Trail. RFETN took the Crab Orchard exit off of I-40 and headed south. This is where the video picks up. Who says the Dukes of Hazzard was filmed in Georgia? It looks to me it could have been filmed in Cumberland County, Tennessee. Watch out for the end of the road!

  • do you all have any footage of you all climbing the cliffs...i used to climb on them all the time with ben phillips and katie peters....sure brings back some memories...thanx Tad

  • I never climbed the cliffs there. The first time I went hiking there was just in March of 2009. Now back in college, I did climb limestone cliffs around Cookeville - those are a lot easier to climb than sandstone.

  • Wow. When did they put the gate up past the parking lot? So now you can't drive up to the spring house anymore?

  • Sorry for the long reply, misplaced my password. You can drive almost all the way to the spring house. There is a nice parking lot (seen at the very end of the video) and it is a very short little hike to the spring house.
