It's sad to know that our beloved main characters from the original avatar show are dead, but I hear that Katara may be seen in some episodes of the series as a very old woman. R.I.P beloved Aang, Sokka, Toph, and Zuko.

@katara57 I'm hopeful she has a flashback of Toph as a mother, it could be pretty funny. Maybe memories of being taught Metalbending, if she decides to teach it to Korra?

Uhmm.. their children's name's are.. uhh...Tenzin (he'll be teaching Korra airbending) , Kaya (Katara's mother's name..I probably spelled it wrong though D:) and Bumi (aww named after Aang's childhood friend).
So they got busy and had 3 kids /cough
