My friend has a sonata with this engine he's put 65,000miles on it and never hade a signal problem.

How has Hyundai addressed the oily buildup on the valve stems which attracts so much carbon the horsepower starts to dive after only 5K miles on the odometer. Ford and Cadillac have addressed this problem with new ECM's that produce ultra precise timing which has shown no oily deposits.
