  • I believe that both parties and their respective talking heads have sold themselves lock-stock-and-barrel to the highest bidder. I believe the money and fame they get from doing this will only go so far and will catch up with them. They act more like alcoholics than servants of the people. They engage in destructive behavior that punishes those who trusted in them. America will survive this; but, like the family of an alcoholic, it will survive in a damaged condition it does not deserve.

  • Soooo true.. all thumbs up.

  • @MrEthanSabo Glenn Beck is a buffoon. I wouldn't waste my time listening to the ravings of a buffoon, nor should you.

I live w/o TV; have done so for many years. I've seen clips of his program online. (I've also read he makes $23 million/yr.) He's a shill for the corporate powers that be. I could easily rebut/demolish his infantile and uninformed opinions on any number of the things about which he has chosen to speak. The difference is he has access to an audience of millions, and I do not.

  • @bapyou Clone? Have you ever listened to Beck? He bashes Bush all the time. He hates Bush. You are just another idiot that has NO idea what Beck is about. He bashes BOTH sides EQUALLY!

  • 'Arguing With Idiots': A book about heated disagreements with the clones of George Bush.

  • I'm currently reading this book for what I thought would be a good laugh. According to his Top Ten Bastards of All Time list, Keith Olbermann, Tiger Woods, FDR and Woodrow Wilson are all worse than Hitler, who places at #6. Booze. I need booze.

  • Beck's footnotes aren't scholarly, so having a citation doesn't mean anything if you're quoting a newspaper (example NY Times). Seeing as how Beck never excelled above high school, it's not surprising that his books only have a populist appeal rather than an intellectual one. Having read the book, there are rampant errors, factual distortions, red herrings and outright falsehoods. His book does to add to any constructive dialogue and succeeds only as further partisan hackery.

  • Goto your local library and pick it up, it looks like a book you would see in 2nd or 2rd grade. Besides being filled with utter bullshit.

  • is the title of glenns book "common sense" supposed to be ironic?

  • All we need now are idiot trolls in the thread. I haven't smoked enough crack for it so someone else needs to.

  • @sparks444 yea the government was successful from all of the taxes and regulations. people arent able to use full potential to get successful.
