One arrest with loads of cops and several drivers trying to physically intimidate corkers by nosing into them with horns blazing.

The ride started heading South and then changed its mind and went North over Waterloo Bridge, along the Strand and into Whitehall. Arriving at Parliament Square, greetings were exchanged between CM and the Democracy villagers, who have been camped out opposite Parliament for two months now. We then headed for Buckingham Palace and made several circuits there. The Queen didn't seem to mind but drivers did.

Then up to Wellington Arch. along Park Lane and back down again finally arriving at Piccadilly Circus and doing a bike lift there. Then heading East towards the impromptu destination, the Foundry squat which is facing eviction. On the way there a rider was arrested and the police turned up with an estimated 30 vehicles, and they caused a lengthy traffic delay.

There were several reports of drivers deliberately ramming cyclists. I saw one woman cyclist knocked to the ground by a taxi. but the police don't seem at all interested in such things.

Apart from the incidents it was a very happy ride indeed.

  • Average views of stupid Critical Mass protests videos on Youtube under 4000, Average views of cars running into stupid Critical Mass protests over 250,000 ! Come on Critical Mass give the Public what they want !

  • @SoCalledFreeman They are demonstrating which is a civil right. They are only pissing off people who want to be pissed off, to me they are demonstrating by occupying space which could be used more efficient and less car centric.

I love cars, but in a dense city with traffic problems they are bloody useless and inefficient.

  • I like riding bikes but surely they can be ridden faster! I don't drive around town at 5-10mph causing queues (unless I'm severely lost!)

  • Why do the cyclists deliberately piss off the cars??

  • THis makes me hate cyclists all the more. Ride a bike, enjoy it, I hope you're happy, but the moment you do this? Well, I get all giddy inside when you get run the fuck over.

  • @bluntangelz Actually, no, roads were made for horse-drawn carriages - unless, of course, you could buy cars during the reign of the Roman Empire.

  • @MadMarie2005 Doing nothing has got us some of the worst cycling provision in europe & I'm antagonised by other road users on a daily basis.

  • i ride bikes a lot, in london as well. If i was a car driver i would run u the fuck over if u got in my way. Those cyclists r blocking the whole road. If ur slow WALK. The people who do this r sad. I ride my bike about 20 miles a day for pleasure and used to ride it too school. Ive seen motorists who take the piss and break the law, but ive seen bikers do it a hell of a lot more. If ur a cyclists who breaks the law, dnt complain when u get run the fuck over

  • @bluntangelz lol you must enjoy traffic jams, bikes rule.

  • Roads were made for cars fuck heads
