Interesting to see how that Dolby Digital SR-D CAT-700 was mounted..way out in front of the upper reel arm assembly. I always get the film the take up reel first before I would lace up the projector, just to keep the leads off the floor.
Yet another great video from You. -Thanks for sharing !
Empire 1 is a beauty. -I've visited the booth twice, during the eighties and still remember those three DP70s side by side.
I have two DPs myself (since 1974 and still doing a top job) - and one FP30D i a smaller screen. The 30 is a fine machine, too - but comes near the "Dollar Princess". I hope, they may run many years without a "television" thing getting in between....
The print damaged was somewhere between reel 5 and 6? It was a sequence that had rain poring down where differences between Dolby SR-D and SR type was loudness crosstalk of the Dolby matrix the rain was louder in the monaural surrounds, split-surrounds where slightly quieter. This kinder lasted nearly 3 minutes?
It's very rare to hear a Dolby SR-D print switching back and too. The worse or rather the best experimentation of this was "L.A. Confidential" at Bournemouth's ABC screen number #1 1997.
The ole grand "Empire Leicester square screen #1" is the best looking and sounding screens in the United Kingdom. Keep up the good show Fred, and please more of Empire 1 please and the sound system rack WOW holy smokes that is a cinema rack system with Dolby dts SDDS and THX!
what an awsome job!

I love the Empire, Screen 1, recently saw Star trek there,
I would love to know how you can arrange a tour of the cinema with a behind the scenes look, it would only be for myself.
