There are a few verbs on here that use either être or avoir - depending on context. (transitive/intransitive - as in, takes a direct object or does not take a direct object).
Ex: sortir - Je suis sorti hier soir.
but, if you use it as in "take out" then use "avoir." (as in, took out the trash, took out a book.)
Monter - J'ai monté mes valises au deuxième étage.
Je suis monté au deuxième étage.

@ouestlelivre Yeah. This song is mostly for use in classes when you're learning the past tense for the first time; they don't usually go in depth with things like transitive and intransitive verbs until later on. To begin with, it's easier to keep it simple. :) Thanks for commenting!

@muishka55 Honestly, that method just drives me crazy. lol. It's so tedious because you basically have to write them all down. With the song you can just kind of sing it to yourself anytime you forget. Thanks so much for commenting though! :)
