Use a reliable scientific source for scientific questions.... do not use a fundamentalist religious website for accurate information on science. Its never accurate.

@MumblingMickey Lucy was proven to be just a large ape. they put human hands and feet one her even though there were no hands or feet found for Lucy. This was bogus and they have her in museum displays with human hands and feet. Such a shameful display of unscientific process. It is not hard to find other chimp skeletons to match the one found earlier. If they actually did find all those skeletons, surly they must have had one or two that had hands and feet. they were not human.

at one time long in the past there were up to 4 different human species alive on earth at the same time, 100,000 years ago there were 2 species, now there is only one. Survival of the fittest. We were most adapted to survive. You see that in nature all the time, species who don't adapt well die out. There have been many, many different species of humans over time. The only reason that religious fundies don't accept this evidence of our past is because it totally demolishes their faith, and they live by their faith, no matter what the evidence to the contrary, no matter how silly and farfetched these beliefs are.
