Funny you mentioned that, I experienced the exact same thing with the stock pegs. I had to hang pretty far off the bike to get my knee down, before the peg does. I don't think tyre are enginered like that, but on the other hand, a sliding rear tyre is easier to handle than a sliding front....
interesting, thanks. I think i have experienced this feeling before actually. do you find that your pegs come down before your knee do on these nc30's? ive ground the hell out of my pegs like this now. do tyre manufacturers design the back to start giving off this sign before the front i wonder?
You can't get to max lean angle in the rain with BT090's, far before your max angle the back starts to move, the front is still ok. At that point the bike is telling you not to lean any further... So don't push the lean angle.... thrust me.
ok thanks, but what i meant was- there is not enough grip in the rain to roll off the tyre edge of anything so what does it feel like when you are at maximum lean angle in the rain, same feeling? just back moving around? front gives any signs?
Allright nice that you like BT090s!!! You'll notice soon enough when you cant lean anymore.. The rubber on the rear tyre isn't profiled up to the edge, the rear tyre will start to slide around a bit when you push the lean angle......
I haven't ridden on BT020, but kneedowns are possible with pretty much every tyre. The compound of BT020 is harder than BT090 so you must make sure you have some heat in your tyres. On a roundabout the bike won't loose tractrion all of a sudden, as long as the road isn't dirty. Go out and have a go, post some vids!!!
hey mate just chucked bt090 on my nc30... EXCELLENT!! Also I just chucked some ''crasher fairings'' onto it and I'd like to know if you can tell me roughly what it feels like in the rain when you know you can't lean anymore? What can of signs are there??
The bike came with metzelers, but they where no good. The choice is pretty limited with the 18inch rear wheel and the 090s are considered the best. I don´t want to sacrifice dry grip for a bit more in the wet.
Even though I have no good experience with other tyres, I think that 090s are pretty good in the wet compared to others. Because the rubber is a realy soft compound, they heat up easily, even in the wet.
Zal die racefactory900 zichzelf al te pletter hebben gereden op die waardeloze banden die je hem hebt aangesmeerd?
