Actually we attacked Vietnam. Ho chi Mien was actually working for the US during WWII in an effort to fight the Japanese believing that in return the country would be unified under the rule of the communist party. After WWII the Red scare took over so we backstabbed him and divided the nation, putting a dictatorship in the south and called it Free.

No, they don't randomly arrest people, they arrest people whom they think are terrorists. The trouble is that they don't even need a warrant now and they may be completely wrong, and innocent people are being held in jails for years while they make up their mind, their families never having been told what happened to them. And that's assuming nobody's abusing their power, which if you think about to Abu Ghraib, you know cannot be the case.

seriously, why do we care what happens in government, if we can live our day to day,tottaly oblivious, smile every once in a while. why should we care? i could live a good 50 years and not know any better. sounds like a good deal to me.why expend the energy
