@Sacrificial24 It's all about speed and efficiency, so whichever you use does not make a difference if you're as efficient with one than with the other.

Does the amount of Gem/Gold Boxes (Or Cursed Chests in CI) go up as your rating goes up? You seem to get a high ratio while myself (a respected-master forager) only seems to get one every so often.

I can't say for regular forage, but CI forage is not influenced by standing as it is itself unrated. Chests are mostly randomly generated, but the more advanced frays you pass, the more chests should technically spawn. No CCs after first fray, a few after 2nd fray, more after 3rd fray, etc. This video was taken after 3rd, 4th and 5th frays.

I found that as my rank went up, (ultimate forage now W00T) the amount of CC's I got did go up, yes. However as my rank went up, I had also done more CIs. So it might be related to how many CIs you have done.

Nice vid btw, but you need to use power-ups sooner or else they get in your way and can potentially destroy a perfectly good board.
