http://www.vocalpower.co.uk - This video is the third part of a series on the exploration of using a middle or mixed voice to access higher notes. This video will help you to practice the 'siren' exercise which is excellent in developing the upper register which is essential for classic rock and modern vocals.

Try to practice this daily and focus on making a quiet sound in order to maintain control and develop sound technique. If you do this regularly you will smooth out your passagio or bridge and be able to seamlessly slide up and down your full vocal range :)

As in the first exercise, when you get comfortable doing the 'ng' sound, you can experiment with a small aah vowel.

  • lmfao am i the only one who cracked up?

  • @TackyWackyJackiee I don't understand your comment? Are you talking about laughing or is there a break in your voice?

  • Hi Tony, any news on when your vocal program will be released and what formats it will be in?

  • @GaryGuevara It's taking a lot longer than I originally anticipated. The package will include downloadable instructional videos and mp3 exercises.

  • i cant do it without going to falsetto too?? what i gonna do?

  • @Aricbleh Hi there, try watching the videos again and really try to copy the whining sound. You should really try to get that feeling of sobbing (if you were really upset). Keep the sound small with very little breath. Hope this helps

  • how long will it take for us to sing a higher note if you are just starting?

  • HELP!!! I've got a break in between!!

  • Hi thanks for the great video! I actually have the opposite problem... it appears that I have more control when I'm singing more quietly but when I try to put some more power into it it either cracks up or I just resort to belting it out again. Is there anyway that I can have more control over it and sing it with a full sound? Thanks!

  • @vocalpoweruk please ignore these idiots.

  • You look like Nate on Leverage : D
