I made this in 1988, when I was a student at Queens College. The audio sync got messed up when I transferred from tape to digital; I'll replace this with a better transfer when I can. The edits are technically sloppy because of the equipment I used. Nevertheless, I think that conceptually it's better than the actual video for the song if I do say so myself.

MC, you will be surprised to know that I remember watching this video as a teen myself. Not only did this video air on local news and sports programs, but it made its way to MTV somehow. In fact, this is the version I remember more vividly than the "official" one with the archival film footage of Mays, Robinson, Ruth, Gherig, et al.

I saw this on the local news when I was a kid and I have been looking for it ever since. This is the version!! Thanks for posting!!! One of my childhood memories and yes it is conceptually than the actual video.

I'm glad you like it, but it is simply not possible.I made this for a school project. You may have seen some of these clips, but I'm certain this montage, the one I created for school in 1988, with these edits, has never aired.

I'm glad you like it, but you couldn't have seen this version of the montage on the news. I made it at Queens College in 1988 and as far as I know it has never aired anywhere (except here on YouTube) :)
