When replacing two new tire, insist your tires are mounted on the rear.

  • That police footage was not of a car with bad rear tires, the crash happened because the wheels locked up under braking.

  • it doesn't matter ! rwd or fwd the new tires need to go to the rear !!!!!!!!!!!! always !!

  • look at the cars they are testing - both are ford, front wheel drive

  • To answer the "rear wheel drive" question - I actually drove this test track in Laurens, SC. It does NOT matter if the car is front or rear wheel drive, although it is more pronounced in FWD cars. Note that the first car in the video - in the intro - is a Rear Wheel Drive BMW.

  • Does it matter if the car is front or rear wheel drive? I think all the cars in that video are rear wheel drive...so the rear tires are pushing which means in the rain they are more likely to break lose than the front, not matter how worn they are.

  • But what if you have a rear wheel drive car?
