  • This is really the best version of Israel in Egypt I've ever heard,

I like it, so full of triumph. Other versions instead are so...mmm...slow! Thank you for posting it! it's simply wonderful, also because you caused me to know this composition!

  • Isreal In Egypt has to be the greatest gift of Handel to the chorus! All is wonderful - especially the rather avant garde double chorus throughout most of the work, lovely. Thanks for posting

  • @alinecedrac I sang this with Apollo's Fire in Cleveland a few years ago. I agree--- this piece needs to go FAST--- and we did it at an even quicker gallop than this. What an amazing finale.

  • Awesome. The tenor "Evangelist" is splendid, and the soprano is absolutely glorious -- like a silver trumpet! Add to that a wonderful choir, and you get Handel at his best. :)

  • @TheMaliPerica The Lord is Love. So there's no replacing there. And I agree with EmilyGreene -- if you want secular music, why listen to Handel?

  • muito lindo prinsipalmente voz lirica

  • Very well sung!

    Sock it to 'em, Handel!

  • @TheMaliPerica If you want secular music, you can look elsewhere.

  • @TheMaliPerica Why replace the Lord? I love how this honors the Lord. :)

  • Of course, one of the the great choral finales

    Very well done

I wish the tenor's English pronunciation were more fastidious when Amer. singers sing in German etc. they are often criticized I think when foreign singers sing in English we should demand the same idiomatic quality

But still very fine -I wonder if the whole performance is available some where?

  • Replace Lord with Love and you get nice secular music :)

  • I have 3 versions of the oratorio, but this finale may be better than any of them! thanks carosaxone.
