On 9-12-2009, We the people made our voices heard in Washington, D.C. in an impressive way. From towns and cities large and small, from States near and far, we marched with purpose into our nations capitol - to remind our government who this Country belongs to - WE THE PEOPLE. Every office they hold, every power they possess, is granted them by those whom they have chosen now to ignore and belittle.

We came, and we continue to come, to make it clear - we will be silent no more. This is OUR country, and we want it back!

Can you hear us?

WE THE PEOPLE
We hold these truths to be self-evident,
that all men are created equal,
that they are endowed by their Creator
with certain unalienable Rights,
that among these are Life, Liberty
and the pursuit of Happiness.

We the people...

We're gonna make some noise right now...

We the people had enough of politicians
breaking the rules
and trashing all our dreams,
while a choir of fools and media magicians
sing "Hallelujah,
government is king".

If you still believe
we're created to be free,
lift your hands up high
and shout it out with me

We the people,
Hey D.C. Can you hear us?

gonna stand our ground.
We the people,
in the name of truth, in the name of freedom,
We the people,
that's what this country's all about.

on the foundation our nation
was clearly built upon.

we love our families, pray to God
that he keeps our country strong

    America was there in impressive numbers.

    For everyone one person who was there , there were hundreds, perhaps thousands who wished they could have been ! ! !

    All 50 States were represented all parties

    (D) (R) and (I) were there ! !

    Our voices will be heard - March on Washington 2010 may spill over into Neigboring States.

    WE WILL NOT REST , WE WILL NOT STOP, WE WILL NOT GIVE UP ! !

  • @mikem42 Show me any society in the history of the world that has survived the forced redistribution of wealth. If you consider the rich the "deep end" of a pool, and the poor the "shallow end," no matter how much water you carry from the deep end and pour into the shallow end, the depths will never change. History is proof.How many poor in other countries drive their car to pick up "free" foodstamps while talking on their cell-phones? Explain it to the Haitians, who eat dirt cookies to survive.

  • @mikem42 Also, the Republican party did not get us into this mess, the Democratic congress did. U.S. healthcare is broken because 1.) Illegals get "free" healthcare - HINT-nothing in life is free. 2.) Lawyers (solicitors) make their living off frivolous lawsuits. 3.) Half the masses get "free" healthcare (see hint above) 4.) Unions have taken over most aspects of healthacare, from Drs. to nurses to hospitals 5.) Politicians are firmly in the pockets of big pharma. -All in the name of "the poor."

  • @mikem42 I find it presumptuous of you to state what inspires the Tea Parties-as an active participant, our primary inspiration is simple-what I work hard for belongs to me, and is mine to use and distribute as I see fit, with the exception of public works which benefit ALL. I could say that those who prefer a "welfare state" are greedy, lazy, and selfish-prefering to make their "living" off anothers sweat and blood. Vow poverty, hand over your earnings to the poor masses, and we can talk. :-)

Sadly though, the Tea Party isn't about standing up for the rights of others - it's inspired by selfishness, not wanting your tax dollars to help your neighbour when they're struggling to survive in the corporate nightmare world of US healthcare. And the result of the Tea Party demonstrations? The biggest swing to the Republican party, which got you in this mess. I'd also like to know which people exactly you're talking about fighting and dying for?

    We STILL fight and die for others more than any people in the history of the world. We will continue to do so, so long as there are people who believe in freedom here and abroad.

    When there are no more "tea-parties" and no more groups like Due South to stand up for the rights of the common man, here and elsewhere on the earth, that is when your dismay would be more appropriate.
