Running down Whitten in your comments does nothing to disprove that non-Laino owners are not run out of Taos.

I beg to differ Stonethemason. Most of the non-Latino's in Taos were against Whitten changing peoples names permanently, but we found out it was just a few employees, and only when they worked the switchboard. That is perfectly acceptable in our view.

As far as speaking Spanish in front of others, that is never acceptable when with non Spanish speaking people.

This is not about language. Nor is it about racism. Its about an unsophistcated, paranoid and uneducated small business man with experience in setting up mom & pop hotels and Inns in the backwaters
of America and suddenly deciding he wants to open an upscale, upmarket business. It just doesnt work that way. Its like a guy who runs a McDonalds or a Piggly Wiggly trying to open and run a Sachs Fifth Ave or a Wofgang Puck restaurant.....

Bad business plan equals failure. Starting a business in a cultural backwater like texas is a much different proposition than starting one in an upscale, upmarket area like Taos. He didnt do his homework and admits such in the video. He says that he came to Taos with a business formula that has worked in the past....dudes...Taos is not bumfuck texas. Taos is not Podunk Oklahoma. Taos is Taos.

Pendejo....then you are saying that somehow, in your fantasy world, the prehistoric Celtic Iberians somehow used the Star Trek transporter or the H.G.Wells time machine and landed in the general new mexico area 40,000 years ago??? Because that is really the only scenario that can have the Iberians NOT TAKING land from the natives, you moron!!~!
