January 24, 2011: Are motorists who fly Australian flags on their cars this Australia Day being patriotic or racist? According to new research, there is a link between flying the flag and holding racist values.
With tomorrow being Australia Day, what are your thoughts on this claim about there being a link between flying the Australian Flag and racist values ?

Honestly you don't have to be a rocket scientist to realize that Nationalists are much more likely to hold elitist views as nationalism involves basically brainwashing yourself to believe that your country is the greatest in the world and anyone who says otherwise is wrong. No one said that if you have a flag on your car, you are racist, just that you're more likely to be, why be in denial?

Maybe they should ask the guy that researches flags, the meaning of burning one. Maybe the true judge of racism isnt the average australian showing some pride by displaying their flag on their car, but the group of people that decide to burn spit and stomp on the flag.

this video, like all ACA videos is majorly misleading and misses the point (the same low level sensationalist bullshit we get from most of these shows). the study in NO WAY said that waving the australian flag is racist, it said that those who do are statistically more likely to be racist or conservative. it didn't say that waving a flag itself is racist at all
