Visual Effects Breakdown for my Tech U Out entry

Here is a video that explains, in short, the process I went through to create my Best Buy Tech U Out video challenge entry. It is a little long, almost 9 minutes, but overall this is a time consuming process, (I didn't sleep for 4 days!) Simply amazing man. My After Effects skills are pretty solid but I have no real experience with a 3d app. How did you go about learning 3ds Max? Did you go to a school?
