  • Actually this wasn't on the 'Best of Shindig' VHS tape: that video featured a performance of the song from his 1st appearance on the show, & this is from his 5th & final appearance.

  • @peterdchecksfield

Thank you for that information. This was sourced from a "Best Of" DVD.

  • Freakin' AWESOME! - todays talent has nothin' beats the Killer.

He showed up to a bar i was at in 1986 and did 3 songs, (no one knew who it was) set his keyboard on fire, sprayed it out with an extinguisher - sprayed the crowd and walked out - the people were stunned speechless - it was freakin' awesome.

  • NOBODY follows the Killer!!!

  • JLL at his hot best!!! LOL Jerry lee--we all love you!!

  • FANTASTIC !!! - Erkele

  • killer

  • @russohead My personal favourite JLL era is actually 1969-1972 (both in the studio & live). He still had a strong voice (ruined a little later by age & too many late nights), was at his most versatle, but could still rock & roll like crazy when he wanted to.

  • @peterdchecksfield

You are more than entitled to your opinion. Let's just say that he was still peaking on ShinDig

  • @russohead I wouldn't call it his "comeback" - his first real comeback was in 1961 when What'd I Say became a hit in both the USA & UK - but it was probably his rockin' peak, at least on record (those who were there say his UK shows in '62 & '63 were even wilder).

  • @peterdchecksfield

That's cool. My original point was that the Star Club is widely acclaimed to be his "comeback" and he's still feeling it here.
