I built a new Wind Turbine to replace my old wind turbine. Upgraded to a WindBlue DC-540 PMA, and Im very happy with the results. I plan to rebuild my old turbine (using gears) and add it to my configuration. I built the frame and welded everything together. Im going to replace the 3 blades that Im currently using today with a 5 blade configuration from Windynation.

@leamyvideo Hey, thanks for the advise. I will look into the Sun G 500. I want to add another GTI to my system as it is, so I can dedicate one to my solar and one to the wind. Thanks for the comments!

Hi, I test 540 pma also on grid tied like I do with the Airx it slowing down allod when it get load on it making no power .The airx speed high rpm i get with the 2 grid tied combine with 60 watts solar I get like 125 to 145 watts I can get more but the Airx reach the top speed or protect speed for not damage the Airx & with the 540 pma do the same test today with same good wind. I get only 45 to 50 watts the pma when get load on it. it will slowing down making no power

Hi, I just put my wind turbine today I used missouri 9 blade rapter & windblue 540 pma I get like up 24 to 50 to 60 volt open no load, but when you put it on the 24 bank battery it slowing down allod i dont now if it gona charge my batteries I used 8 golf card 6 volt battery. I think with the test I do & also I test my wind turbine that I have before Airx 12 volt 400 watts , I think I get more power with the Airx than the windblue let me now, Thanks.

Your blades seem to work very well. I think you would be more happy with our 2 blade cyclone. You get the power and rpms with a 2 blade setup. We have tested many blade options and found that the 2 blade design works best. Thanks for your support and feel free to contact WindBlue Power at our web site. Thanks :)

I'm facing a similar situation and I found a voltage monitor switch by Timemark model number 2621-12VDC. It has a high set turn on point and a low set "reset" point. When your voltage reaches the high set point the relay closes and will allow the batteries to drain down to the low set point. It then opens the relay, disconnecting it from the grid tied inverter. The wind turbine can recharge the batteries back up to the high set point again and the cycle repeats. The set points are adjustable

Id also put some guy wires on that pole or she could come crashing down in those gust

Dont hook up batteries to those small grid-tie inverters because the grid will suck them dry. Just hook the turbine straight up to it because the input voltage is 14-28 and will handle 30v. My dad does that and he also puts a heating element on it to keep the voltage down and it works great

use 6 12v batterys.
3 parelel strings of 2 batterys in searies.
that will absorb a ton of juce and keep your inverter goin a long time betwean wind gusts.
and maybe some more solar pannels.
