thats when we stop being juvinial and we grow up, she looks at him that way because she truely and actualy loves her father, that is rare, she is saying thank you for being my father and for loving me the way that you do. there is nothing sexual at all about it. peoples minds are in the sexual gutter these days, (including yours truely) they do not even know what real love between father and daughter even is and it is sad.

Does anyone know what Dara may be doing these days? I wonder if she vigorously pursued a singing career or not....? Oh, and thank you for posting this. I can still remember this song very well from the sweet Spring of 1980....

Um, do you recall that Brooke was paraded around like a little prostitute? Hey, wait! Didn't she play a little prosititute in "Pretty Baby"? And wasn't this in the '70's? Why, yes it was.

Well said highmountain). She is genuinely happy to sing alongside with her dad and it is rare. It is very disapponting that this generation has such a warped sense of love or compassion and we can see this in society today. More than ever , sex offenders have been encourage by the very society who frowns upon it. Dressing up little girls with Brooke Shields make up on cable is disgusting and this was not the theme in the 70s. Children were children & this era was totally different than now

I agree. When Dara sang with her father all that I could see was the innocence of a 12 year loving the music industry and enjoying this industry with her father. I agree, people run on filthy minds and in the 1970s when this was performed, America was not as degerate as it has become. At that time, the filthy mentality in this era was not on the minds of folks as much b/c love songs is where most people were & were most influence by. All that I could see was real love between father& daughter

She was a huge star over seas to a selected fan base who enjoyed her style, but it did not mean that she wasn't any less talented. Also, remember, the music industry, as we knew , changed over night. If Dara were born 10 years earlier, she would have made her hits in the 1970s & early 80s. Our generation was fast& moving on British beats & so many talents were out there to chose from. If anything Paula is a lot better than this mechanical garbage they've got on the waves today.I rather come here

Dara did not go as far in the industry as she deserved b/c of the timing of who was willing to reveal their body the most& who sounded sexiest. Paula Abdul never tried to sound or act sexy, she was a performer for many years even at the same time Dara began her own career, they are about the same age & they had a different beat. Now, when you go back to the top 10 in the 80s, review the most popular & you will see. It was Madonna & MTV& by this time, very few related to Dara, except for me. ;-)
