This is still a work in progress, but I was so thrilled with how it's going I had to share it with you! I'm still learning some of the parts (and words!) and the vocals came out a bit funky due to the mic being too far away, however having programmed all the camera shots already I wasn't about to move the mic.:) I shot this at 5 am alone in my studio apartment in San Francisco. As with all (two) of my BLS performances, I'm using live looping to play all the parts myself, except the drums. See my BLS World Premiere video on this channel for more info on that and all the technology being used in my act. One looptastic trick I did in this song was capture the guitar part for the bridge during the end of the first verse. At this point only I can hear what I'm playing, but it comes back at the bridge, allowing me to play bass with my left and organ with my right.

The roller-coaster is the Looping Star in Ocean City, Maryland, from VideoBlocks.com. The light pattern is built in to the Chauvet lntimidator lights I'm using. The song is "Strong Enough" from Sheryl Crow's "Tuesday Night Music Club". The gorgeous acoustic guitars I'm playing are Evolution Steel Strings, the organ is Classic Organs' B3, and the Bass is Scarbee, all powered by Kontakt. The analog synth sound is from Massive. The percussion track is a midi backing track from Hit Trax, playing Abelton's Latin Percussion drum rack.

  • Thanks. The vocals are going through a VoiceLive Touch vocal processor. The autotune "cracks" a couple times probably because the mic was too far away. I don't always use autotune but it helps when you're trying to sound like Sherl Crow. hehe

  • Very beautiful song. Well done!

  • Wow, that vocalprocessor is really powerful and actually sounds quite good. It would have been interesting if you would have taken off vocal processor for a few seconds, so you could see the difference this vocal processor can do - just like you did with bohemian rhapsody. Or at the very end of the video put up footage of video without vocal processor. You would then be a great inspiration to all wannabe rockstar singers who do not have a good singing voice.

  • Dope performance man! What's that vocal effect you're using?
