This commercial was produced by Robert Abel and Associates, famous for their "candy apple" imagery motion control and optical compositing. Computers were beginning to be used for commercial imagery at this time of the early 80s. I have another version of this commercial where the ending is slightly different -- the school of logos at the end collapse into a rose at the end, not the levi's logo.

This looks sexier and more hi-tech than any commercial I've seen in the 21st century. I'm pretty sure there is no cg but if I'm wrong DAMN cg in the 70's was sicker than now? Figures.

The end of this commercial was straight out of 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Shit I wanna go back! Cool commercial all trippy and spaced out...far out man!

Men should learn from these commercials to learn how to dress...again! No more baggy, oversized, drab, dull, horrible modern day clothes or even those dull skinny suits aawwk!! We need bellbottoms, platforms, plaid, wide lapels, and dacron polyester clothes, lively colors again!! man it's time for a change!

Gawd this commercial brings back memories! I loved when this commercial came on. Especially that creepy whistle sounding music. So cool! It was so bizzare even for those days. Thank you so much for posting this!

Wow! I can't belive that computer animation got started in the 70's. No wonder it was the most expensive commercial made at the time.

You cannot believe how this commercial freaked me out and gave me nightmares when I was little. It's the faceless- mannikin- types at the beginning that did it. LOL
no wonder why everyone wanted to do lsd.

It was straight leg cords and matching jacket with walahbees or moon boots or Clarks with the obligatory puka beed necklace, and to top it all off was the leather strips long key chain with the the beads that hang 1/2 way down the thigh. pollyester print shirt underneath. And yes we dressed back then. The jacket always matched with the pant. Cord city!! Anyone?
