Anheuser-Busch has to pay for that advertising spot, and instead of using that precious air time promoting its product, it created an image of dignity and humility.
As a native St. Louisan, the Clydesdales have always been a symbol of my roots. I guess you could skew this ad to say that AB is just trying to peddle its brand symbol, but the power of those majestic horses acknowledging, as we do, the 9/11 tragedy and the strength of NY, is undeniable.
