I have seen this piece played on two guitars. And I've also seen the frontpage of this duo in a Karl Scheit edition wich says "duo for violin or two guitars" Whats the original instrumentation of this piece. I myself play in a guitarduo on historical guitars. We call ourselves Duo Historico. Nice playing by the way.

Very strange: the guitar has a baroque shaped body, but with single strings... Is it a copy from an original?

Yes. The original instrument is at Paris Museum, it's a french baroque instrument from 1760.
