97 dodge ram 0-60 and 30-50 step down

this is a video of my 1997 dodge ram clubcab with 6'5" bed and 5.2l magnum v8 engine. i did two 0-60+ runs both were started uphill on highway entrance ramps the 30-50 step down was on level road. i run shell preimum 93 octane gasoline. the truck has 174628-174631 miles on it during this video. the engine and trans are original and NOT rebuilt.

Hi...I have a 1999 dodge ram quad cab...i tried acceleratiing 0-60 and it takes me 14 seconds to reach..can u tell me whats wrong..and if its the cat...should it be changed?

@lajefadecarebear i forgot to put this i the description. the cat is rattleing and 3/4 clogged engine is origanl with 174k miles so is the trans and 9.25 rearend with with 3.5 gear ratio. truck is completly stock. oh and i beat my buddys moded v6 camaro.

@exquisitejaz i was running the same had my cat taken out and ypiped now i run 0-60 in 7.5 with few bolt ons now i have 1.7 roller rockers and it will be faster now! adds 20+hp and 10+to wheels

i have the 5.9 my cat was so bad i couldnt go over 4000 rpm... my mechanic took it off for me.. omg the sound of the truck was amazing and when i pressed the gas i had imediate power!!! i went from doing 0-60 in 12 seconds to 7 but i also have mods as well.. hypertech max energy,k&n,airaid throttle body spacer,pacesetter shorty headers, flowmaster 40 with no cat just ypiped or straight piped whatever u wana call it!

im feelin ya pain... my ram 1500 has the V6 and a manual 5 speed. 0-60 is slower than yours. I just cant believe dodge geared the tranny and rear ends so badly...
