I'm Canadian and he is a great commentator, and as jcjr87, it is a very hard to commentate.

its sad that hes no longer the voice of the devils, but at least well still hear him a few times during the year, and of course when we go deep in the playoffs

Hockey is BY FAR the toughest sport to do as far as play-by-play. I can forgive gaffes like this. As someone else said, the fact that he made fun of his own eyesight afterwards justs makes it all the more forgivable.

Emrick is a great commentator, and I think making fun of himself shows humility and professionalism. Everybody screws up!!
