    Every track on this album is fabulous- still have the album somewhere- the follow up Rock city was a let down but this is just stunning from the opening New Nation to This is your life. Great voice, production and arrangements-unlike the dross served up today. Wasn't that Hiroshi Kato from Sadistic Mika band on Radio?

    i agree about the follow up album Rock City.i bought it and gave it away i believe. this album though is a stunner.i still play it often. not sure about Hiroshi Kato though.thanx for the post.

    yep it was London Hard Rock - and he was I think recording as he was in London a few weeks - I think with the guy from 10cc but I could have made that up :) - sorry if I reply to your mails it comes back hence I go on to the site to reply - pleased to here that you have such good memories of that time, as do I

    Was that in London? My memory is a bit fuzzy and it was some time ago- I might add that was one of my absolute best times- Rod and I were touring Europe and it was both successful and lots of fun.

    I met you both in the hard rock cafe - I had fingerless gloves that intrigued rod - and we all carried on drinking to the wee small hours round the corner in the bar - before Jools and I tottered home..after more than likely drinking a wee bit too much!!

    Now I know where Linda Ronstadt and trisha Yearwood got this haunting song. Thank you for posting. The Linda Ronstadt cover of this is one of my all-time favorite hidden gems.
