  • @TheDoorsHarry The west hill in Hastings?

  • This song is about the west hill! I walk up it all the time.

  • "Just one place for a man to be when he's worried about his life...." - and that's anywhere, listening to John Martyn

  • what 2 bell ends disliked this. feckin tune

  • A clean Martyn classic, with the mighty Richard Thompson on mandolin. Ye gods do I love this.

  • One of the first songs i ever tried to play and sing an absolute cracker of a song ,John sadly missed and really underated. Only managed to see him play once and was hooked for life.

  • Lets not argue, do you think the "BIG MAN" cares? Still a massive loss to me. RIP my friend

  • What does it matter where he was from? Is it just because everyone want's to claim the beloved John Martyn as 'one of their own'? One things for sure...the late, great, John Martyn is now in the place where we'll all heading.....RIP J.M.

  • This song is amazing :)
