The boof-stroke was applied too late and that's why he failed to actually 'boof', which is the act of making your kayak land flat from a drop, which he failed to do. I'm a beginner at kayaking and cannot claim to be able to do better, but then I'm not making tutorial video's on the subject, and, if I was doing, I would damn well make sure that I had some footage of me boofing instead of telling people how to do it, then failing to do it myself.

I think he would have done better boofing off a drop, not just over that pebble.

the "boof" its exactly at 44 seconds. right when he peaks over that wave, he boof strokes on the rock. (with a left stroke to push him towards the right after the drop)
