He is just 100% awsome. He keeps a groove so well and I look up to him.

@DrummingAddict88 my guess would be since it is at so much of an angle, you can get more response and a more full sound when it can fluctuate more. Hitting it at the bottom would cut the sound off very quick. You can hear the difference when he plays it at the bottom or at the side.
