@ItsTheHood No horses were killed or injured. Look on wikipedia and read about the race. It took over a year to prepare and shoot this scene. One guy was almost killed, guess which one.

@maxpower789z Thanks. From the photos and recreated models I found, it looks like the Hippodrome was smaller than the Circus Maximus, but it looked a lot like the Ben Hur site..

@PC160 I believe it is supposed to be the Hippodrome in Jerusalem, not the Circus Maximus in Rome
